Synthetic vitamins
Essential vitamins used in livestock production, such as vitamin E and other lipophilic vitamins, which are of purely synthetic origin need to be replaced with vitamins of natural origin.
With this aim, SCALE-it will:
- Assess the impact of natural tocopherol sources on the Vit E status of organic livestock.
- Revise feeding recommendations by establishing Vit A, D, and E requirements in organic livestock.
